Personal plan

Personal is for one account. You choose one capacity, and all of your VMs share it:

Every capacity includes 200 GB of outbound bandwidth and up to 50 VMs. The disk and bandwidth allowance belongs to your account and is shared by all of your VMs. See Usage for how usage beyond it is measured.

Personal does not include a monthly Shelley credit. Buy credits at exe.dev/user/shelley.

Changing capacity

Change your capacity with billing capacity --cpu=N (2, 4, 8, or 16 vCPU) or at exe.dev/billing. The change takes effect immediately and is prorated for the rest of the billing cycle. Because subscriptions are paid in advance:

• Moving to a larger capacity charges the prorated difference immediately.
• Moving to a smaller capacity credits the prorated difference to your account, and the credit is applied to future invoices.

Standalone VMs

Personal can also run standalone VMs, billed by the hour on top of your plan.

Switch to Work

When you want to work with teammates or run production workloads, the Work plan adds pools, team management, and SSO. Creating a team on Work cancels your Personal subscription. See Switching between Personal and Work.

FAQ

Does "50 VMs" mean 50 full-size VMs?

No. 50 is the maximum number of VMs on Personal. All of your VMs together share your capacity. At 16 vCPU, you can run one VM at the full 16 vCPU, or split the same capacity, for example 2×8 vCPU or 4×4 vCPU.

Can one VM use all of my capacity?

Yes. One VM can be resized up to your full capacity. Adding VMs does not add capacity.
